The good news is, hepatitis C can be eradicated with treatment.1 Keys to a cure include a complete treatment plan and staying motivated for long-term success.

Your diagnosis means that the hepatitis C virus (HCV) is in your body. More than 4 million people in the United States have hepatitis C.2 If left untreated, HCV can damage your liver, so the earlier you start treatment, the better for your liver.3 Find out more about hepatitis C.

The standard treatment for hepatitis C is two medications taken together for about one year.4 During treatment, your healthcare professional will do blood tests at 12 weeks, 24 weeks, 48 weeks, and 72 weeks. The tests will tell how well the medications are working by measuring how much HCV is still in your blood.1,5 See how these blood tests can affect your treatment on the Progress Pathway.

Plan for success with INFERGEN® (Interferon alfacon-1)

If your treatment is working, you should see a big drop in your HCV level after 12 weeks.6 If there's not a major drop, it may be time for another medication: INFERGEN.7 Find out how to plan for success with INFERGEN
