Consider which of your patients are ideal candidates for INFERGEN® (Interferon alfacon-1) therapy.
Who is the ideal INFERGEN patient?
Use the
HCV Therapy Flow Sheet to manage your patients on interferon therapy more efficiently and track their results.
INFERGEN is indicated for the treatment of chronic HCV infection in patients 18 years of age or older with compensated liver disease who have anti-HCV serum antibodies and/or the presence of HCV RNA.
1 Regular monitoring allows you to better identify candidates for continuation therapy. They include:
- Patients who did not achieve ≥ 2-log10 drop in viral load at 12 weeks of initial therapy.2
- Patients at stage 0, 1, or 2 disease, when chance of SVR is greater than stage 3 or 4.3
- Patients who are HCV-positive at 12, 24, 48, or 72 weeks and beyond.4
- Treatment-refractory patients who showed some virologic response during prior treatment.4
- Patients who are able to tolerate and adhere to interferon treatment.
- Patients who are motivated to start re-treatment with the goal of SVR.
