Consider which of your patients are potential candidates for INFERGEN® (Interferon alfacon-1) therapy.

Who is the ideal INFERGEN patient?

Use the HCV Therapy Flow Sheet to manage your patients on interferon therapy more efficiently and track their results.
INFERGEN is indicated for the treatment of chronic HCV infection in patients 18 years of age or older with compensated liver disease who have anti-HCV serum antibodies and/or the presence of HCV RNA.1 Regular monitoring allows you to better identify candidates for continuation therapy. They include:
  • Patients who did not achieve ≥2-log10 drop in viral load at 12 weeks of initial therapy2
  • Poor Prognostic Patients but who are Interferon sensitive
    • >1-log drop at week 12 but virus still detectable
  • Patients who have Relapsed
    • HCV RNA detectable after EOT with sensitive test
  • Patients at stage 0, 1, or 2 disease, when chance of SVR is greater than stage 3 or 43
  • Motivated clinician AND motivated patient
  • Patients who tolerated initial therapy and were compliant
  • No washout period may offer additional benefits4
